Mumbai : Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s much-awaited comeback film Maa Inti Bangaram has witnessed a predictable slowdown at the box office after completing two weeks in theatres. Despite the dip in collections, the film continues its steady march towards the coveted ₹90 crore mark worldwide.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Maa Inti Bangaram collected an estimated ₹0.75 crore nett in India on Day 15, with the majority of its earnings coming from the Telugu version. The film was screened across 1,292 shows nationwide on its fifteenth day.
With the latest numbers, the film’s total India nett collection has reached ₹54.70 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹63.32 crore.The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film’s success, with collections touching ₹24.35 crore gross. Combining domestic and international earnings, Maa Inti Bangaram has amassed an estimated ₹87.67 crore worldwide, putting it within touching distance of the ₹90 crore milestone.
The Telugu version continues to dominate the film’s business, earning ₹0.74 crore from 1,216 shows, while the Tamil version contributed ₹0.01 crore from 76 shows.
Maa Inti Bangaram marks Samantha’s return to the big screen after her 2023 romantic drama Kushi.Since then, she also impressed audiences with her performance in the action-thriller series Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Varun Dhawan.
The film has generated considerable buzz not only for Samantha’s return but also for its impressive creative team. It is backed by Tralala Moving Pictures and produced by Samantha alongside Raj Nidimoru and Himank. The project is directed by Nandini Reddy, with cinematography by Om Prakash, music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, and story and screenplay by Vasant Maringanti.
While the third-week slowdown was expected, all eyes are now on whether Maa Inti Bangaram can sustain its run over the weekend and cross the ₹90 crore worldwide milestone in the coming days.
