Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu : The Ocean Sailing Expedition, 2026 was held today at the Kanyakumari Chinnamuttom Fishing Harbour, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Kanyakumari Coastal Police Station.
As part of the expedition, 14 NCC cadets, both boys and girls from Cuddalore, Kanyakumari and Thoothukudi districts, are participating. The cadets are travelling from Chinnamuttom Fishing Harbour to Kudankulam in two Navy-type DK Whaler boats.
The expedition was inaugurated by DDG Nambiath Sudheep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Naval NCC.
Lieutenant Colonel Sujeeth S Unni, 11 BN Commanding Officer; Colonel V.K.S. Chauhan, Madurai Group Commander; Captain David Ilangovan, 3 (TN) Naval NCC Commanding Officer, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari Coastal Police Inspector K. Shanthi, Marine Enforcement Inspector Badrakali and Chinnamuttom Fisheries Department Inspector Vipin were among those present.
Around 80 NCC cadets from Vivekananda College, Noorul Islam College, Scott Christian College, St. Antony’s School and Hindu College also participated in the event.
