Ahmedabad, Gujarat : Former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has made a big statement regarding the social media post congratulating the Gujarat leaders appointed in the national organization of BJP. Four leaders from Gujarat have been given new responsibilities in the national BJP, out of which Nitin Patel congratulated three leaders on social media with their photos. But when asked why he did not congratulate the fourth leader Rohan Gupta, he clarified his point.
Clarifying in detail about his social media post, Nitin Patel said, “I often post on various topics on social media and people also express their thoughts in it through comments. Currently, the central leadership has formed a new national team and announced it, in which 4 office bearers have been appointed from Gujarat.”
Talking about the newly appointed office bearers, he added, “Out of the 4 office bearers who have been selected, 3 are very well known and personal to me. Jagdish Patel, a native of Visatpura village in Kadi taluka and former MLA from Amraiwadi, is my old friend and colleague. Former state vice president of Surendranagar Varshaben Doshi, who was in-charge of Mehsana and has been an MLA with me in the assembly. Apart from this, Hemang Joshi is also an MP from Vadodara and he is also in my acquaintance.”
Putting a pause on the ongoing discussions about not congratulating Rohan Gupta, Nitin Patel said, “I have never met Rohan Gupta till this second. Only known and familiar people have been congratulated on my behalf. Even when there is an occasion at home, we invite only familiar people and congratulate them.”
Talking more about Rohan Gupta, Nitin Patel said, “I don’t know Rohan Gupta and he doesn’t know me. You shouldn’t go to anyone’s wedding without an invitsion! I have never met him and he has never met me. Even many leaders in Congress meet occasionally, but I have never met this person and I don’t know him.”
On August 17, BJP National President Nitin Nabin’s new national team was announced. Keeping in mind the 2027 assembly elections, four leaders from Gujarat have been named, including Varshaben Doshi: National Vice President, Dr. Hemang Joshi: President of Rashtriya Yuva Morcha, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel: National Secretary and Rohan Gupta: National Secretary
Nitin Patel added at the end, “BJP has appointed 25 people, I don’t know all of them. Four people from Gujarat have been given responsibility but I know only three. I am also a worker and he is also a worker.” With this comment by the former Deputy Chief Minister, the personal introduction behind his greetings amidst the new organizational changes in BJP has become a topic of discussion in political circles.
