Along with the degree conferment, 11 brilliant students were also given special honors. These students were honored with the ‘Chancellor Mandir Medal’ and ‘Flag Medal’ and certificates. Gujarat Vidyapith not only emphasizes academic results but also emphasizes research, social service, sports, leadership, moral conduct and commitment to Gandhian values. Hence, the achievement of the students who received the medals is not limited to grades alone, but is also a reflection of all-round development.

Amit Shah, while congratulating all the degree holders, also recalled his memories with Gujarat Vidyapith. He said that he used to read a lot in the library of Gujarat Vidyapith and never thought that one day he would come to this same Vidyapith as a guest. Addressing the students, he advised them to set a clear goal in life and said that one should keep working without worrying about whether the goal will be achieved or not. If a goal is set for the country, society and people, there is less chance of disappointment.

Amit Shah, referring to the struggles of his life, gave a message to the students to remain steadfast in the face of difficulties. He said that there are many ups and downs in life, but a person should not give up. Many times, there is no need to worry even if the goal set is not achieved, because maybe that goal is not for us. He advised the students to read the lives and thoughts of great men and especially remembered the message of Mahatma Gandhi. According to him, Gandhiji’s thoughts are inspiring and beneficial in three periods – past, present and future.

During the ceremony, Amit Shah appealed to the youth to think in connection with the future of the country. He said that it is necessary to make the youth study what India has achieved from 1947 to 2022 and what is India’s place in the world today. He also stressed on the need to decide where India will be in 2047. Talking about encouraging the youth for research in the pharma sector, he expressed the possibility that India can become a pioneer in this field. He called for a resolution to make India number one in every field by 2047 by channeling the country’s potential in the right direction.
