The heartbreaking incident took place in Madhavapur village, where the couple’s lifelong bond ended with both being cremated together on the same pyre.According to local reports, the wife had been battling a prolonged illness and passed away at home.

The tragic news left her husband devastated. During the funeral, as family members prepared for the last rites, the grieving husband performed one final ritual by applying sindoor to his wife’s forehead while she lay on the bier.Witnesses said that immediately after the emotional farewell, the husband suddenly collapsed.

Family members rushed to help him, but he reportedly suffered a massive heart attack and died on the spot.The unexpected death left relatives and villagers in shock. With both husband and wife passing away within hours of each other, their funeral procession was carried out together. The couple is survived by two sons, who are mourning the loss of both parents. Villagers gathered in large numbers to pay their final respects and have appealed to the government to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family.

Residents described the couple as deeply devoted to each other and said the husband could not bear the pain of losing his wife.
