ResignationAbhijeet Dipke Calls Minister’s Exit a “Major Victory”, Says Fight Will Continue

New Delhi : Celebrations broke out at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar after reports emerged that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had resigned from his post. The atmosphere at the protest site turned jubilant after Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke received a phone call informing him of the development.

Leading the nationwide agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak and demanding sweeping education reforms, Dipke addressed hundreds of students gathered at the protest venue and announced, “We have done it. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned.”The announcement was met with loud cheers, slogans and celebrations as protesters hailed the reported resignation as a major milestone in their movement.

Speaking to the crowd, Dipke described the development as a significant achievement for the student movement.”This is a big victory. It proves that the country is governed according to the Constitution. But this is just the beginning,” he said, indicating that the movement would continue despite the minister’s reported resignation.

He also congratulated students and supporters who had participated in the protests, calling the development a victory for collective public action.

While celebrating the reported resignation, CJP leaders maintained that their protest was not yet over. Party spokesperson Sourabh Das said demonstrators would not leave the protest site until they received an official written confirmation of the minister’s resignation.

According to the protesters, their broader demands, including reforms in the examination system and accountability over the alleged paper leak, remain unchanged.Following the celebrations, security arrangements at Jantar Mantar appeared to relax.

Police personnel stationed at the outer barricades were seen easing entry procedures, while the collection of visitors’ names and social media details at the entrance was reportedly discontinued. Security checks were also reduced, reflecting a calmer atmosphere at the protest venue.

The developments marked a significant moment in the ongoing student agitation, even as protest leaders reiterated that, in their view, the movement would continue until all of their demands are addressed.
