Odisha CM Holds High-Level Talks with Amit Shah, Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi
New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a series of high-level meetings with senior Union ministers in the national capital on Friday, focusing on law and order, infrastructure development, and strengthening Centre-State cooperation. During his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Chief Minister discussed the prevailing law and order situation in Odisha and various issues related to internal security and governance. The meeting is seen as part of the state’s efforts to enhance administrative coordination with the Centre and ensure effective implementation of security-related initiatives.
Later, Chief Minister Majhi also met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, where the two leaders reviewed the progress of railway infrastructure projects in Odisha. Their discussions centred on accelerating new railway projects, improving rail connectivity, modernising transport infrastructure, and strengthening the state’s connectivity with other parts of the country. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of expanding railway networks to support Odisha’s industrial growth, tourism, and economic development.
Following the meetings, Mohan Majhi said the Odisha government is committed to building a “Prosperous Odisha” with the active support of the Central Government. He expressed confidence that stronger cooperation between the Centre and the State would help fast-track key development projects, improve public infrastructure, and create greater opportunities for the people of Odisha. The meetings reflect the state government’s continued focus on development-driven governance and closer collaboration with the Union Government.
