Srinagar, J & K : Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Friday conducted a review of the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and the use of technology in South Kashmir.
During his visit, the Army Commander assessed the overall security arrangements and reviewed the operational readiness of the formations and units deployed in the region. He also took stock of measures being undertaken to effectively address emerging security challenges.
Lt Gen Sharma was briefed by senior Army officers on the prevailing security environment, ongoing operations and the preparedness of troops to respond to potential threats.
The Army Commander emphasised the need for continued vigilance, close coordination among security agencies and maintaining a high level of operational preparedness.
He also reviewed the integration of modern technology and surveillance capabilities into security operations, stressing the importance of adopting advanced technological solutions to further strengthen operational effectiveness.
The visit comes amid continued efforts by security forces to maintain peace and stability across South Kashmir and strengthen the security grid in the region.
Lt Gen Sharma appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the troops and urged them to remain alert and prepared to meet evolving security challenges.
