Vadnagar, Gujarat : While flagging off the ‘Vadnagar to Varanasi’ journey from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthplace, Vadnagar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted Modi’s visionary approach and his inclusive, all-encompassing welfare schemes. He noted that, based on the ‘Gujarat Model,’ millions of people across various states in the country are benefiting from the government’s diverse welfare programs. On this occasion, Amit Shah also took aim at Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi while assuring the nation’s women, stating, “The Leader of the Opposition is stalling the bill, but I am confident that the 33% women’s reservation will certainly be implemented; no one needs to harbor any doubts about it.”

Speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary initiatives, Amit Shah mentioned the successful implementation of the ‘Jyotigram Yojana,’ which provided 24-hour electricity to villages in Gujarat. This scheme is now being implemented in various other states across the country as well. He noted that the provision of round-the-clock electricity to Gujarat’s villages revitalized the rural economy, curbed migration towards cities, and fostered business growth, placing Gujarat at the forefront of rural development nationwide. Referring to the ‘Sagarkhadu’ (coastal community) and ‘Vanbandhu’ (tribal community) welfare schemes, Amit Shah stated that priority was given to inclusive development, ensuring progress reached these communities as well.

Schemes that were both inclusive and far-reaching were implemented and presented to the nation. Building upon the successful Gujarat model, the country secured a full-term government after 14 years, ushering in a new dawn of development. Good governance was used to eradicate corruption across the country. From the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Prime Minister identified himself as the ‘Pradhan Sevak’ (Chief Servant). When Modi assumed power, the country was grappling with ‘policy paralysis.’

Regarding national development, GST once seemed like a distant dream, yet Modi successfully implemented it. Banking reforms have turned public sector banks profitable. The construction of roads, railways, airports, and ports has astonished the world. Significant milestones include the abrogation of Article 370, the abolition of Triple Talaq, and the creation of a Naxal-free nation. A befitting reply was delivered to the enemy through surgical strikes, air strikes, and ‘Operation Sindoor.’ Although the opposition is stalling the move, I am confident that the 33% reservation for women (‘Matrushakti’) will certainly be realized; there is no need for anyone to doubt this.

Union Minister Anupriya Patel and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde were also present at the event.
