Air Marshal (Retd.) Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is responsible for the construction and administration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
New Delhi : Air Marshal (Retd.) Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is responsible for the construction and administration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Mishra, who served in the Indian Air Force for more than 38 years, is a decorated officer and recipient of the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal. During his career, he held several key positions, including Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Air Command, Commanding Officer of a fighter squadron, Chief Test Pilot at ASTE and Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff.
His appointment is significant as it marks the first time the temple trust has created and filled the post of CEO, signalling a greater focus on professional management and institutional administration.
The Trust has also appointed three new trustees — Delhi-based businessman Mahesh Bhagchandka, Ayodhya resident Madan Mohan Pandey, and Nirmala Yadav of Shikohabad. Bhagchandka is reportedly associated with the family of late VHP leader Ashok Singhal, who played a prominent role in the Ram Temple movement.
The decisions were taken at a key Trust meeting as preparations and administrative arrangements continue alongside the temple project’s progress.
