New Delhi : Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday launched ‘Kya Bolti Public’, a nationwide public outreach campaign aimed at connecting directly with citizens and understanding the issues affecting their daily lives. The initiative seeks to collect feedback from people across the country, with education emerging as its first major focus.
Speaking at the launch, Dipke said the rising cost of education has become a serious burden for families. He alleged that school fees, donations, coaching expenses, and college tuition have increased to levels that are beyond the reach of many lower- and middle-income households.
“Education reform will be our first issue that we are going to take up. We believe education has become unaffordable in the country. Annual fees are in the range of ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh for Class 1, over and above the donation money,” he said.
Dipke also raised concerns over the growing dependence on education loans, claiming that many parents are being forced into debt to fund their children’s schooling and higher education. He said quality education should not become a financial burden and stressed the need to make it more accessible and affordable.
Referring to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision, Dipke argued that education should remain a public good rather than a profit-driven business. He said the increasing commercialisation of the sector has made quality education difficult to access for many families.
Through the ‘Kya Bolti Public’ campaign, CJP plans to engage with citizens across India, gather public feedback on education-related challenges, and push for reforms, including measures to regulate private school and coaching fees while ensuring equitable access to education.
