Awantipora, J & K : During naka checking at Punzoo Shaldraman, a police team headed by SHO Police Station Tral, Inspector Tajamul Islam, intercepted an auto-rickshaw bearing Registration No. JK13D-8919, driven by Maqsood Ahmad Lone S/o Farooq Ahmad Lone R/o Chak Noorpora, Awantipora.

The vehicle was subjected to a thorough search, during which approximately 1.50 kg of poppy straw was recovered.

In this connection, FIR No. 104/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tral, and investigation has been initiated.

The auto-rickshaw used in the commission of the crime has been seized in accordance with the law.
