Jammu Kashmir : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday handed over an appointment letter on compassionate grounds to Dr. Vaishali Misra wife of late J&K Police Sub Inspector Sachin Verma.

Sachin Verma, who was posted with the 23rd Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) lost his life in a road accident at Nowgam in Srinagar on August 11, 2025.

During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family and assured them of all possible assistance and support from the J&K Administration.

The compassionate appointment is aimed at providing support to the family following the untimely death of the police officer.

The administration reiterated its commitment to extending necessary assistance to the families of personnel who lose their lives while serving in the police and security forces.
