Jodhpur : The German Air Force’s A400M military transport aircraft is participating in Exercise Tarang Shakti 2026 in Jodhpur, joining air forces from several countries in the multinational exercise hosted by India.
The A400M is a key element of Germany’s military airlift capability and is designed to undertake strategic and tactical transport missions, including the movement of personnel, equipment and other essential cargo.
Its participation in the exercise provides an opportunity for the German and Indian air forces, along with other participating nations, to enhance interoperability, exchange operational experience and train together in a multinational environment.
Exercise Tarang Shakti 2026 brings together participating air forces for a range of joint flying and operational activities, aimed at strengthening coordination and fostering greater understanding among partner nations.
The presence of the German A400M in Jodhpur also underlines the growing defence engagement between India and Germany and the increasing emphasis on multinational cooperation in the air domain.
The exercise is part of India’s efforts to deepen military to military cooperation with friendly countries and provide participating forces with an opportunity to operate alongside one another in a complex air exercise environment.
