New Delhi : India has stepped up its humanitarian assistance to flood affected Nepal with an additional 11 tonnes of essential relief supplies reaching the neighbouring country amid ongoing recovery and relief operations.

The assistance was dispatched as part of India’s continued relief efforts in Nepal. The latest shipment is the ninth Indian Air Force aircraft carrying relief material to the country since the disaster struck in late August.
India has already supplied substantial quantities of humanitarian material and deployed specialised personnel and equipment to assist Nepal with search, rescue, forensic and medical operations.
Earlier consignments included rescue equipment, DNA-analysis material, medicines, temporary shelters and hygiene supplies.
The latest assistance also comes as Nepal continues large scale search, rescue and relief operations across several affected districts. Indian teams have been supporting specialised rescue and victim identification efforts alongside Nepali authorities.
India has reiterated its commitment to supporting Nepal’s recovery and rehabilitation efforts, continuing its humanitarian response under its neighbourhood assistance approach.
