Srinagar, J & K : Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Saturday reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness in the Kashmir Valley during a comprehensive security review and coordination meeting in Srinagar.
According to the Army’s Northern Command, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on the prevailing security environment, operational preparedness and coordination mechanisms in the presence of key stakeholders.
The Army Commander stressed the need for enhanced inter agency synergy, real time intelligence sharing and integrated coordination to strengthen operational readiness and facilitate a swift response to emerging security challenges.
The meeting also focused on improving coordination among security agencies to enhance the effectiveness of joint operations and ensure preparedness to deal with evolving security requirements in the Valley.
Lt Gen Sharma’s review comes amid continued efforts by security forces to maintain a robust security grid and strengthen coordination among various agencies for peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
